Peter Hanson is a professional musician from Indiana who plays the saxophone, flute, and clarinet. Over the last fifteen years he has shared the stage with legends such as Marshall Allen, Jim Black, Dietmar Weisner, and Du Yun. From DIY art galleries to Mardi Gras he has performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. As a freelance studio musician, his work has been released by artists on major independent labels, including Polyvinyl and Northern Spy. Hanson earned his M.A. in Music Education from Brooklyn College in 2016 and currently lives in Berlin, where he is composing new works for solo saxophone and electronics.
